    Odd EGT too....

You might want to check the intake pipes for leaks. If you're sucking more air on one (or two) cylinders the mixture will be leaner for those cylinders and both EGT and CHT will be cooler if they are LOP. Here is an example where CYL#1 had an intake leak. This was the second flight with new...

Dynon Skyview map colors e.g. ATZ

I don't know of a standard method of changing the colors, but if you export the settings files the *.dfg file has the colors and line types defined. Open the file with a text editor and search for "map_bling={". You can compare the coding with the airspace colors in Section 7 of the User Guide...

    Carburetor temperature

Carb icing depends on a few things. The cooling affect of the venture and evaporating fuel can lower the air temperature by 30 or more degrees Fahrenheit. I had a yellow area from 27F to 50F. Below freezing the moisture is already ice so will pass right though. Here is a handy chart:

    Fuel computer quantity adjustment.

Under SYSTEM SETUP > SYSTEM SETUP > AIRCRAFT INFORMATION (p7-63 of installation manual) there is a place to set the TOTAL FUEL CAPACITY. This may be preventing you from entering a fuel value.

    Combining MAP Sensor connections

Do you need sensors? or just a manifold pressure hose to the ignition module. The P-Mags just need a hose for manifold pressure. I built a header with a single hose from the manifold to the header and attached several devices that require manifold pressure to the header. Works good.

    Routing Wiring

I drilled the holes for the EGT probes on the backside of the exhaust and put the EGT/CHT sensor wiring between the block and the intake/exhaust. I put adel clamps on the pan bolts to hold the alternator wire (and starter on the left side) and tied everything to those wires. It keeps the probe...

    New Skyview Colors

Fair enough. I was experimenting with blue as the cold end of the scale. But the highlighted numbers (yellow or red) in addition to the gauge seem to be more effective at catching my eye. So all the new colors act like a green. Except "in the purple" just doesn't have the same ring as "in the...

    New Skyview Colors

The text doesn't take on the new colors for the EMS widgets. Are yellow and red the only colors that do this? The CHT are in the blue range as is the AFR.

Odd indication on SV EMS screen

It could be a loose connection. But as I slowly burnt my EGT probes up they displayed that symptom. One and two are fried on the display below:

Can I use Contact inputs? Manual says 2,3,4 = NO

You can't use the contacts on the Skyview display but you can use any of the EMS general purpose inputs for contacts. See page 7-55 of the install manual.

    ACK elt problem.

Once the ELT is ARMED it's always ARMED until you turn it off or the batteries go dead. The rubber plug for the switch locks the switch in the ARMED position. So there is nothing you have to do when you go flying. You need to do an annual maintenance as per the manual. The good thing is that...

Bluetooth Music and Phone without an Audio Panel

The solution to my problem turned out to be simpler than what Vern suggested. The GTR200 has audio out for an audio panel. If you don't have an audio panel it can be connected to a recording device. Contrary to what I suggested in my first post, everything except the music inputs are output to...

    ACK elt problem.

The ARMED position is the correct position. I used the wrong cable between the audio alert and the remote control and set mine off trying to trouble shoot. In Canada I registered my 406 equipment with the Canadian Beacon Registry. I just received a call from the control center that monitors the...

    Skid ball adjustment.

I agree. The first screen shot was to demonstrate for Elmer that the skid ball can be off to the right contrary to his theory. The skid ball is probably off to the left in the majority of screen shots because the builder is sitting in the left seat when the screen shot is taken. The second...

    Skid ball adjustment.

Depends if the plane (ADAHRS) is level. Here's one showing it off to the right. The next picture is in flight with everything nearly centered.

    Sensor Spikes in USER LOGS

Some of the sensors have fairly smooth graphs in the USER LOGS. I have a few that have spikes. Is there a way to smooth out the spikes with the sensor definition? The AFR is my own design, but the RPM sounds a lot smoother than it looks in the USER LOGS. The second graph is a five minute section...

    Track Line Options

The track line prediction marks is a nice feature but when I set the mode to OFF it magically appears the next time I turn on SV. I haven't tried any of the other modes to see if they are permanent. Is there a way to set the default?

    Distance from last waypoint

We get the request here in Canada when the airport is managed by remote radio. There is no tower and no radar but we must report movements in the zone. Yorkton (CYQV) is a good example. The radio location is in Regina. They are advisory only for traffic and weather. They keep track of the...
