    There is not a way to downgrade the 2020 to SIL/SDA =1. You can use it as a SIL/SDA=0 device by choosing "GENERIC NMEA" at 115,200 baud.

    Thanks for the pointers that SA had said data would be available a few days before. We talked to their CEO and he says they are late this month because of a large update to FlightGuide diagrams. They will be available later today along with an email describing the delay.

    Lots of 12V to USB power adapters are very electrically noisy. Cars don't tend to have 120MHz AM radios so they don't design for that. All you can do is try other power adapters. FYI, we don't sell ICOM radios or iPads, so there's not much more help we can offer.

    Yes, lack of GPS lock will cause the message. You aren't compliant when you don't have a GPS lock. Unfortunately, the transponder doesn't report if it's missing all GPS data or if it just isn't locked on yet so we can't be more specific.

    Bob, If you have a GTN providing position to the transponder, you didn't need to update, but there's no issue if you did. If you aren't 91.227 complaint now, you weren't before. Is the transponder status showing not 91.227 complaint? If so, what is the reason it is giving?
