    No serial communication from screens

Yes, it must be connected to serial ports on both screens.

    No serial communication from screens

Unless the transponder is hooked to the same serial port on both screens, it will not work. You can verify this by turning off the screen that it is not connected to. It will work then. But when you turn on the other screen, it will work sometimes, and sometimes not.

    Network connection fault

Likely you updated from an earlier version of SkyView firmware that did not do the Network Fault diagnostic. Thus, updating to v14.0 didn't CAUSE this issue, it only exposed an existing fault. As always, screen shots of what you're seeing will help us help you much, much more than a vague...

    Updated to V14

What Transponder do you have? What ADS-B do you have? What GPS is connected to SkyView? Where in the USA are you observing this? What are you seeing in the traffic status area? (lower right area on the map - ADS-B OK, NO RADAR, TIS, ETC) Is your GPS output on your transponder set to SIL-1? The...

    GPS Altitude Accuracy

Unless you are trying to avoid cumulogranite, which obeys only GPS altitude and doesn't care a whit about barometric altitude... Seriously, avoiding things on the ground is more safely done with GPS altitude. This is why we have "safe altitudes" that are 1-2K higher than the actual ground...

    N Number Change

Your N number and ICAO are mathematically related, so they are both definitely changing. With V13 you need to update both, the N in AIRCRAFT INFO and the ICAO in the transponder. You'll need to get the new one from the FAA somehow. With v14, just put your N number in AIRCRAFT INFO and it will...

    AutoTrim

You need to purchase and install the SV-AP-PANEL, and then connect up your trim control buttons and the trim control motors to it (the 15-pin connector on the back). SkyView's AP can then "auto-trim" when the AP is engaged. This is the only way that SkyView can control trim. You also need to do...

    D180 Rotax 912 UL - Tach & Amp

Typical Pulses Per Revolution values are 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0. We've seen all of these used used on various engines. The Pulse Per Revolution should be stated in your engine manual, but most customers find it easier to experiment with those three settings. Typically, this indicates a fusible link...

    Skyview Vs Seattle Avionics

Instructions: http://dynonavionics.com/docs/support_software_SkyView_Databases_loading_instructions.html Unless you have a USB stick plugged in with Seattle Avionics data on it, the warning is not for SA data. Also, SA data will say "charts expired" whereas the other database will say...

    Garmin GX50 Compatibility

We do support aviation format, however it does not include any vertical guidance, and we don't support the roll command. You'll see the CDI on the HSI, and some waypoint distance info. The scale of the CDI will also be fixed and won't auto switch in enroute, terminal, and approach modes. The AP...

    Xponder Fail after update v14

As explained in the SkyView System Installation Guide, Revision W, which we update for every new firmware release, after you apply the firmware update to the transponder, you must disconnect, and reconnect power to the transponder for the new transponder firmware to take effect. Until you...

    Screen reboots constantly

Unfortunately, at times, we're busy with other callers (sometimes very long-winded; one memorable caller this week tied one of us up for an hour). Occasionally, like yesterday, and today, we're short-staffed in Technical Support. EVERY VOICE MAIL gets a return call. If you're not bothering to...

    CHT & EGT readings

The easiest way to troubleshoot this is to swap the suspect EGT with another EGT that is working normally. If the suspect reading moves to the other cylinder, it's the EGT. If the suspect reading stays on that cylinder, it's in the harness or the EMS.

    Garmin GX50 Compatibility

There's no way to know "for sure" until we hook one up. The closest you can get is to see if you can find a list of ARINC-429 labels that it transmits and receives and compare to here: http://wiki.dynonavionics.com/SV-ARINC-429_Labels

    AOA no sound

If it's just AoA but everything else is fine, it's some setting in SkyView. However, lots of RV-12 owners have had issues with volume which is due to the other systems in the plane. This will cause all audio SkyView creates to be quiet. Here's a good thread (with fixes) at Vans Air Force...
