    SV-262 Transponder

Now we've even got the Forum Admin confused! The -261 is the higher power "Class 1" transponder, the -262 is the lower power "Class 2" transponder. This - from the Skyview Transponder page - "The FAA ADS-B "final rule" only allows the higher power Class 1 transponder to be used as an ADS-B...

    SV-262 Transponder

You're mixing the models - there are two versions of the transponder, model 261 and model 262. The 261 is the higher power model (250 watt) that is OK for ADSB post-2020, the 262 is the lower-power model (130 watt). If you have the -261 model, you are just fine.

    SA ChartData / ChartData Manager

Steve, I've been critical of your software in the past, but in this one I have to say you've got it right - the install went quickly and painlessly. I'm glad to see some progress in the right direction.

430W software version for ARINC interface?

Thanks, I'm getting my cooling issues resolved on the engine in Phase I and rapidly approaching some happy button-pushing time.

430W software version for ARINC interface?

Dynon - which software versions on the 430W are required for the ARINC-429 interface to drive the autopilot for guidance? In this case I have the GPS-2020 so I'm good with ADSB, I don't need the ADSB+ software version for that purpose.

    autopilot -- stick shaker?

If you want the audio for the AOA to start a few knots faster, recalibrate it per the standard AOA calibration routine, but don't go all the way to a full stall. Pull the speed back to 3-4 knots above full stall then recover and hit the "stall" button on the AOA, you've now calibrated it to be...

Probable fix for AP disconnects, cautions, red-x

I loaded 14.0.7 this morning uneventfully, flew 2 hours with no issues. Watching for updates, I'm grounded for probably 2 weeks for some major fiberglass work on my engine plenum and cowling. With work and family commitments my free time to play with this hobby is limited.

    Switching calibration sets?

Here is a datapoint for the group, on the differences in the capacitive sender response between fuels. I have calibrated my left tank on 100LL and the voltage ranges from 0.835 to 1.165 volts (empty to full), and when calibrated on 91 octane premium auto gas the voltage ranges from 0.801 to...

    autopilot -- stick shaker?

I would prefer an audible (TERRAIN TERRAIN) warning with a silence option than a stick shaker. My primary runway is unlisted and shall remain so, the stick shaker to me is more intrusive than an aural alert, though both have the same effect. Our 172 gives a (TERRAIN TERRAIN) alert followed by...

    Auto Chart Updates

I have to agree, I don't particularly like the idea of a forced load of software. I just don't see the positives outweighing the potential negatives.

    Complete System Failure In Flight

Had a few issues with a flight today using 3609 software build, file is uploaded and emails sent.

    Fuel gauge programing

Just a datapoint here - I have a Vans RV9A with capacitive senders in my main tanks, and the Dynon Skyview EMS on Dynon backup battery power alone does power the capacitive senders just fine to indicate correct fuel level. I don't see any difference in fuel levels (versus actual) whether running...

    EMS-220 - Pull-Up Resistance

Hmmm, this is interesting - and timely. I'm in early Phase I testing on my plane, and I have this oxygen sensor installed and have not been able to make it behave either. I was about to the point of scrapping it entirely but now I think I'll hold off and see what develops here.

    Complete System Failure In Flight

I'll be able to get about 10 hours of airtime this weekend and my screens have been affected previously, so I'll likely be able to supply you some data.

    V14.05 report

Dynon - if the event occurred using one of the older versions of the test software, and then the newer software was installed after the event, does the diagnostic file (pulled under the newer software) give any relevant data for you? Or does it only have diagnostic value if the errors occurred...

I am SO sick of the SA app

Steve, you can split hairs on the timing all you like - but your customers are asking you for something that your competitors offer, and you are arguing about it. That's not a recipe for a successful business. We know that our business is a small part of yours (because you constantly like to...

    Complete System Failure In Flight

The newer unit is not affected by the bug, if it were my airplane I would put the newer serial number in the pilots panel and reserve the older one for the passenger panel. If the passenger panel freezes it will be less of an issue for you, and if you are running the newer software it will...

    ADS-B Out flight check failed

Dynon - I got my report back from the FAA and it shows the same failures as above. Could this be caused by one screen rebooting due to the V14.0 bug and temporarily disrupting ADSB?
