    Seattle Avionics DataManager crashes Win7-64bit

Same here - beyond frustrated with SA's interface >:(. Last month I probably deleted, downloaded, deleted, uninstalled, reinstalled, etc. 30 times until it worked properly. This month, same thing. Plates remain yellow on the computer and red on the stick. Everything else downloads correctly :-/

SV Comm noticeably weaker than removed king KY197

Probably not your issue, but thought I'd share just the same. I recently had the SV radio and intercom installed. One day, during taxi, I was getting the same response from tower - weak, barely readable, etc. Several days prior, I had turned some avionics off while messing with some items in...

    10.1 chart issue

Just a follow up. I flew this AM and charts were fine at all zoom scales.

    10.1 chart issue

Hi Paul, I had probably been flying for an hour or slightly more. I was using the terrain map most of the flight, so I'm not sure if it was like this immediately. I wasn't panning, and I wasn't switching layers very much - just once to see if the enroute charts acted similarly - they did...

    10.1 chart issue

No more pixelation with 10.1, however... 3NM zoom: 5NM zoom: 12NM zoom:

    Seattle Avionics

Yup, .0414 with a 16Gb drive - same one as I have used from the beginning. Downloading plates, FG, sectionals, and low enroute charts - have 10 east coast states selected. As I type, I'm watching it download the 17053 files (for the 10th time today). Downloads fine - I can see the plates on...

    Seattle Avionics

Was hoping this would fix my issues >:(.  I finally got the FG info to load, but still no joy on the plates - just a yellow circle with "on computer N/A. The plates are on my computer. I can open the folder and look at them; program just thinks they're not, hence won't transfer to the thumb...

    SkyView 10 issues

Same here. I deleted and reinstalled all updated files trying to get the new version - sectionals do not look like the improved version. I also had an issue at certain zoom levels where the sectional became blocky and pixelated - not legible at all.

And I didn't...nor the improved sectionals.  My approach plate column on the updater program said "on computer: NA".  I deleted the program and all files on PC and USB, reinstalled, and everything worked as advertised.  Not sure the cause of my snafu.

    GTN flight plan connections?

I will say no, without knowing the specifics of your setup. I have a 430 feeding the SV through ARINC. At first I thought I had an issue with the 430 flight plan on the v10 upgrade until I realized you have to enter the flight plan menu and select the Garmin flight plan instead of the SV. The...

    Seattle Avionics

+100 to Bob's sentiment.  I've always really disliked SA's update program - it really operates like a program circa '96  ::). I just updated to the latest version and now no matter what I do the plate status is red.  I deleted everything on the USB and started all over - probably tried 5 or 6...

Nice to know that it is a possibility. Yeah, don't think too many using 29.92.

    Baro setting

I hate to offer any suggestions mere days after your announcement of the next AWESOME upgrade. I was just out flying and thought of this on the way home from the airport. I cannot remember off hand, but I believe there are tabs available on the airport WX screen. Would it be possible to have a...

    Flt planning. Entering routes

Personally, I think the current structure is fine. Once you get the steps down, you can really fly through the flight plan. I do see Steve's point however. If there was a way to default to the end while still maintaining the selection to move location, that would be ideal. I have to imagine...

    Flt planning. Entering routes

Definitely my opinion! It really comes down to learning either one, but I almost always find the SV more user-friendly and intuitive than my 430. I do understand the comment about the verification of where to put the waypoint seeming extraneous, however.

Just to confirm - approach modes/switching

My 430 is non-WAAS, but that is how my setup works with an ILS. Just out of habit and what I'm comfortable with, when using AP on an approach and close in to the FAF, I always use HDG mode in the roll axis. Because of this, I already have the localizer up and displayed on the HSI.
