    Do you have the airplane outside where it can "see" the satellites? The Garmin won't send the data unless it's in communication with satellites.

    Now that my D10A gets the time from my 495, is there any reason to leave the KA hooked up? The clock on the D10A doesn't keep time when off anyway. I don't have internal battery.

    I realize this is a minor problem, but my D10A bezel is turning purple. Any way to get it black? I have the same problem with my old Hobbs meter, but I can deal with that. It is small. My Dynon is right up front.

    Go to the "info" menu and click on whatever is there. It will go away. If VSI is there, click on VSI.

    Airspeed reads low...

    Are you sure that your original indicator is knots? It is very suspicious that the error is very close to a factor of 1.15 X. If you original indicator was reading in mph, the 2 would be very close.

    The repairman certificate for an Experimental Amateur-Built aircraft has nothing to do with maintenance. Anyone can maintain an E-AB aircraft. The repairman certificate ONLY allows the holder to perform and sign off the condition inspection required annually.

    FAA DAR approval - Dynon EFIS in Experimental a/c

    Re: FAA DAR approval - Dynon EFIS in Experimental S-LSAs are NOT "standard category"! They are "Light-Sport Category". They are issued an 8130-7, Special Airworthiness Certificate. They are NOT required to meet part 23 rules. I've certified 100s of them. Many with Dynons.

    According to their web page, the Becker mode A/C transponders use only gray code. Their mode S models have gray code and serial inputs. Therefore, if you have the mode A/C model, you will need the converter.

    ASI differences

    I'll be busy for most of December and my transponder is due in January. I'll look at calibration comparison at that point. But I like your solution that my airplane is actually 5 mph faster than the analog ASI is showing. Thanks

    ASI differences

    My old D10 showed about 1-2 mph faster than my analog ASI. The new D10A indicates about 5 mph faster. All other factors (pitot, static, etc.) are the same. Is there any calibration to fix this?

    Declutter "I" & "E" Voltages

    I use my D10A to monitor bus voltage. Since I don't have internal or external back-up batteries, I would like to "not" display these but still display main bus voltage. Seems like it would be a simple thing to do.

    EFIS D10A interface with 296C

    I can't comment on accuracy yet. I haven't been able to fly. I've been swamped with E-LSA inspections lately and haven't had time to get the airplane back together. But all the information shows up correctly on the Dynon.
