One thing you can do right now is, after a few minutes of having the alternator on while the engine is running, turn on all electrical equipment (especially landing/taxi lights if you have them) while looking at the ammeter. If you are connected as B or C you should see a change in the current...

What I think you are seeing is the current that is charging the battery not the full alternator load (battery & equipment). The SKYVIEW installation manual (Pg 7-45, Figure 40) shows 3 different methods of connecting the shunt. If you used position "A" then this current indication is normal...

How about providing the capability of connecting a second ammeter shunt. This way if you have two alternators, you can monitor how much each is generating. Another set up could be one shunt to measure be the total current from the alternator while the second shunt could measure the current used...

Not to rain on anybody's parade but as a former USAF controller  working within those areas I can tell you that most of those military operating areas use UHF frequencies with no equivalent VHF frequency.  That information would be completely useless in our airplanes. 8-)

THANKS. I typed SkyViewUS wrong in my post but it is spelled exactly as you said on the USB drive. I will move the ChartData folder to the root drive and check it out. 8-)

I still can't get my SKYVIEW to display any charts or plates. When I select airport information (KTMB for example) I don't get any chart/plate tab. My USB shows: ROOT FOLDER -SkyviewUS Within SkyviewUS is a folder named ChartData    FOLDER -ChartData    Within the folder named ChartData there...

It sounds like to fix all your problems/situations, you need to sell your Skyview system and install something that fits your requirements. Anything else comes across as just complaining for the sake of complaining. My 2 cents. 8-)
