    Electronic Mag failure sensing

I think we are saying the same thing. A precautionary landing would be at an appropriate, not necessarily the nearest, airport. An emergency landing would be at the nearest airport, or in a farmer's field if unable. 8-)

    adsb settings

This is the exact way I have my SkyView Transponder and G430W connected. With the proper configuration and software versions it is 2020 compliant. After you have it set up and flying, request a detailed ADS-B system report by sending an e-mail to: 9-AWA-AFS-300-ADSB-AvionicsCheck@faa.gov. Make...

    Electronic Mag failure sensing

I have both tach wires connected and configured to the SkyView EMS. If one mag fails the SkyView seamlessly switches RPM indications to the other mag. With E-Mags there is no noticeable engine roughness, as happens with regular mags, which instantly tells you that one mag has failed. So with...

    ADSB System Check

I got my FAA ADS-B "System Check" report today and I am 100% compliant!  :D I have a Skyview system (Xponder & ADS-B Module) connected to a Garmin 430W. It works very, very well. If you want to know how your ADS-B system is performing send an email with N-number to...

    Electronic Mag failure sensing

Can the Skyview EMS provide a notification if one electronic mag stops providing tach output? On most dual electronic mag installation if one mag fails the other one compensates so well the engine does not run rough. I am wondering about the E-Mags in particular. 8-)

    Skyview and E-Mag interconnectivity

How about an interconnectivity between Skyview and e-Mags? That way Skyview can monitor the e-Mag status if so connected. It would be a very passing of data now that more and more aircraft are installing e-Mags on their engines. 8-)

The word "skyview" present on PFD screen

This is normal and tells you that Bearing #1 (Yellow Bearing Pointer) is based on the Skyview GPS source. If it was orange then it would be Bearing #2. Ref: Skyview Pilots User Guide Pg 4-15. 8-)

    Panel Layout Opinions Wanted

Make a test panel out of plexiglass or 1/4" plywood. Make or use full size cut-outs of the instruments, switches, displays, etc then place them on the test panel. Finally sit in the airplane with the test panel in place and move the cut outs around until you get them where you feel the best...

Black Box Log versus User Log

Even after upgrading to V10.1, mine are still being split into multiple files. 8-)

Black Box Log versus User Log

What is the difference between the "Black Box Log Data" and the "User Log Data" files for a particular flight? I notice these files are often split up into several parts but there is normally one that covers the entire flight. 8-)

    Excessive noise from PM3000 radio

Naaa, airplane is down for a fuel pump. The pump is on backorder and should arrive this week. Did you figure out the amp display issue? 8-)

    Excessive noise from PM3000 radio

Turn "on" your Skyview display, PM3000 and the SL40. Then turn your Skyview display off while leaving the PM3000 and the SL40 on. If the "noise" goes away and your squelch adjustments work with the display "off" then you may need to contact DYNON Support for this issue. I am having a similar...

    USB memory sticks

I use the 32 GB Cruzer Fit drive and have had no issues with screenshot speeds while flying. http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Cruzer-Flash-Drive-SDCZ33-032G-B35/dp/B00812F7O8/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1397835796&sr=1-1&keywords=sandisk+cruzer+fit+32gb 8-)

Any other SV users having Wind Vector errors?

I had this exact issue where the error(s) became greater as my airspeed increased. TAS, altitude and wind vectors were all off as my airspeed increased. The Skyview was dead on, but my static port was in an area of increasing low pressure as airspeed increased. Was not an issue at a slower...

    Video input

Ok. I guess I misunderstood your engineer at SNF that told me the Skyview used VGA in their display. The rest makes perfect sense so as not to load the system from it's main function. 8-)

    Video input

I don't understand why you didn't provide a VGA input capability since the display already uses VGA. S-video is dead but all PCs have a VGA output. 8-)

RF Noise generated by a SKYVIEW Display

Ok, I will get to the airplane on Saturday and get the SN off the affected display. I was hoping there was something I could do in the field. 8-)

RF Noise generated by a SKYVIEW Display

I have two 7" Skyview displays and when I turn on the pilot side display it generates so much RF noise my com squelch opens. This doesn't happen with the co-pilot display. I verified all the cables and connectors are tight and even tried connecting an additional ground to it but with no luck...
