Wind Vector Variations between D10 and Skyview

Yes. Fundamentally the differential pressure between pitot and static drives IAS, and then TAS is a computation that's derived from IAS (at least as it is able to be computed by an indicator or piece of avionics). So if IAS is wrong, TAS ends up with some error too. Winds do have some smoothing...

When Is New Dynon Software Going To Be Released

It looks like the ability to choose between the fill-up style and the white tick on bar style is slated for 15.3. We don't have a firm release date at this point - it's somewhat tied to the SV-ADSB-472 improvements.

Wind Vector Variations between D10 and Skyview

They don't differ, but even a few of degrees of compass error gets really magnified on the winds calculation. It only takes a few degrees. If you're off by 3 degrees at 100 knots in still air, for example, you'll get a 5 knot wind indicated. 10 degrees at 150 knots would be a 26 knot...

    Features on D2 screen

If you are saying that your newly-repaired D2 is exhibiting a new issue, please get in touch with our support team for further assistance. Technically your unit is out of warranty, but we'd expect a repaired unit to not fail so quickly.

    Why no AOA tone?

One possibility is that there's a chance that one of the display's audio isn't making it to the panel. Try using the audio test in the audio setup menu to determine this with only one display powered on at a time.

    Dual ADAHRS

It's the latter: one ADAHRS' attitude is displayed on both. BUT, if the two ADAHRS are not the same, the system cross-checks them (and other flight instrument parameters), lets you know, and gives you the ability to compare and choose which one you want to use.

    Using Dynon For Performance Testing

I think all of the advice given here is sound. Data logs are stored in onboard memory, which can be exported to a USB memory stick. One suggestion: 16/sec might be overkill for most uses outside of a very deep flight test program. Knocking the rate down even one or two notches will really up...

Mutual documentation of the undocumented yaw servo

Generically, that means that the system isn't seeing the servo at all. You'd see it if you have the servo power externally switched, for example. But if that's not the case, most likely, there's a wiring issue with power, or less likely the data lines (if a wiring issue affected just one of the...

    Interface to garmin GTR-225

SkyView can send individual frequencies, but not entire airports like it can with our own radio. Caveat - at this point we can't promise what connectivities with 3rd party products will be available via STC. To be clear, the product can do it - as experimental and LSA customers already use this...

    ADSB 472

We think we're close. We actually have some updated hardware and software in the hands of a greater than normal set of testers right now. In the coming weeks, we're planning to do a wider pre-release with some of you that are interested in being the first in line to try out the new improvements...

    Documentation?

No excuses. Yes, we're overdue here, and yes, we know we've disappointed some of you. We're literally updating them right now, and should have updates published in the next week or so.

Uploading my way points to Dynon skyview latest v.

There is no export utility. If you have a .GPX file, you can load it directly from the Flight Plan Menu > Import / Export features. Note that the flight plans are stored on the USB memory stick. They are not permanently loaded into onboard memory.

backup battery is connected skyview won’t start,,

I'm not sure I understand your response here. What is the method (actual switch/button pushes) that you are attempting to use to power on the display? When that doesn't work, does turning on master power also not turn it on until you disconnect the backup battery?

    Pitot heat to EMS 220

So the white wire doesn't output voltage, but it does switch from open to ground. Because of the way that the EMS module is designed, in one state the EMS should measure 5V (when that line is open), and when in the other (grounded) it will read 0V.

Skyview Touch randomly going onto Backup Battery

So generically, we switch to internal battery power (and throw the alert message that you're seeing) when the power that SkyView is receiving falls below 10 volts. Normal bus voltage in an aircraft with a properly working electrical system is usually in the 14s in flight, so something sounds...

Fuel Pressure with Engine/fuel Pump Off

Not in our experience. but note that these aren't sensors that we currently actively sell and support. We can't speak for the manufacturer, but it appears that they may have added some new stronger usage guidelines since the time that we sold them. The main reason we moved away from those the...

Fuel Pressure with Engine/fuel Pump Off

The legacy part number is the one you called out - 100411-001. We have the modern style of sensor for both injected and carbureted engines available though. For fuel injected engines, this is the newer sensor (101692-000) that we've been selling for years...
