Oil press sensor - It could fail but they don’t seem to have the same failure rate as the VDO fuel pressure ones from my experience, I’ve never had to replace one. If it bothers you then I’d replace it to using the same wiring method etc.

Simple, just splice in 2 x 22awg & twist them - I use a battery drill to do the twisting [ch128521] Ps length does not matter for our sized aircraft.

I understand that but you need to connect the 2 x units via a 2 twisted wire cable.  It may not be obvious to you however if you want to share the info between the screens then that is what has to happen - rev J install manual page 5-2 has some info written above Efis 2. Also you connect both...

A simple thing to do is slide off the purple silicone ‘seal’ from the 3 pin connector at the sensor, then try the test again - it may not fix the issue but is a simple/cheap option that’s worth a try.  The only other option I can suggest, given the tests already done, is to try another sensor.

You just connect those items to one of the displays & the dsab network enables the info to be displayed on both ;)

My comment was basically for the benefit of others here, RG 58 (old standard) is soooo yesterday’s technology - now that the higher standard cabling is available & avionics are more ‘sensitive’ it’s the reason that you shouldn’t ( & not allowed, I think) use it in certified aircraft anymore. :)

The obvious question here is .... did you do a network configuration ?

In other words ..... RG400 coax or equivalent. Anything else in an airframe that is not totally aluminium will mostly be a waste of time & money, especially ‘our’ time ;)

Maybe you're referring to the inline resistor from a certified Gps (eg Avidyne) to the Dynon Transponder (pin3) RX input ?

dlloyd, From my experience it is most likely related. I know my cell phone affects my autopilot (other brand) & the type of USB charger has an impact too. Why not ry turning your phone off for a few flights & note the difference in systems performance, if any ? ;)

What connectors are you using ? are they the pink ones that are/were supplied in the sensor kit ?
