They do not require calibration. Check to make sure you have picked the correct sensor (which includes working range) in the sensor mapping setup. This is likely where you have an error.

I am also getting EMS alarms (oil and fuel pressure) on boot where I did not before on three Skyview systems. This happened with the move to Ver 11. All are set to inhibit engine alerts at boot.

Have you tried to import the settings you had from your screen before you sent it back? Dynon likely would have had you export your settings to the USB thumb drive if you were able to do so.

The SV-GPS-250 module is all the navigation source you need for position and navigation in VFR flight. The map will work the same regardless the GPS source. You cannot legally use the SV-GPS-250 module for primary navigation in IFR flight. That requires a certified GPS receiver.
