I have seen this symptom before - The simplest check is with the crimped terminal onto the sensor, see if the wire is moving inside it as sometimes you can get a poor crimp. Soldering the wire will make it more a more solid connection. ;) Jake J

FWIW and others should note - please remove the black USB cable & use the supplied cable in the filter kit, not sure if this will fix your problem but should be done anyway as per Dynon instructions. ;) Jake J

Wayne This is not practical when you think about it - are you asking to be notified by email ? and then you changed your email address but forgot to notify them. The 'industry' convention is for installers to make sure THEY have the latest version :) Jake J

Kevin DS have the 'standard' harness however you can buy the CHT/EGT thermocouple wire from them at approx $1/foot, rest is easy to add to or maybe Steinair will do your custom harness ;) Jake J

Re: Crazy RPM I'd try adding a 30K oHm resistor in series to the RPM signal wire, see how that goes as it can't 'hurt' but you may have to increase this value, up to 100K in 10K increments, to stabilise the RPM. HTH Jake J ;)

Brian You should have this from Dynon with the purchase of the Mapping option, then you need to redeem this to get the License code  see  http://dynonavionics.com/docs/SkyView_Certificate_Redemption.html The 'certificates' (on blue paper)  are either shipped with the unit, if bought at same...

or............ could be another issue, did you swap probes to confirm fault ? As an aside - I've done many installs and never had to buy a replacement EGT probe. Not saying they don't fail, I just look for other causes for the symptoms before spending money on replacements. ;) It's pays to fit...
