    Autopilot settings guide

The 'sensitivity' ( a salesman once told me it was responsive) isn't unique to any one aircraft, but mostly to the closer coupled, or light effort elevator force, airframes - the RV9, 6, early Glasair and many others have this pitch  issue, I know some Glasairs here have an aerodynamic mod to...

    Weather on the Skyview

"Jake, The VP-X won't show checklists. The VP-X doesn't have any screen or display, it requires an EFIS for all display, so what it displays is up to the EFIS manufacturer." DS - I knew that  ;)  It was my 'shorthand' way of asking if the checklist feature would be implemented with the VP-X...

    Autopilot settings guide

FWIW - I know of another brand of autopilot, with their standard servo, in a Glasair without any trim issues.  The trim indication just maybe a sensitive indication and not really a problem, I'm guessing that if the indication wasn't shown you wouldn't know/feel any difference in it's operation...

    Ameter shunt w/ EMS D10

Murray Sorry to be insistent here but IF everything is 'secure' AND you are seeing this high discharge with everything that's not needed turned off I'd be checking the crimped terminals.  ie B lead from alternator to shunt to bus & the 2 shunt wires to Dynon. If you're satisfied that the...

D100 airspeed incorrect and fluctuating enormously

Re: D100 airspeed incorrect and fluctuating enormo Did you disconnect the pitot/static lines at the instrument & have the 'mechanic' connect a pitot/static test box directly to the Dynon.  Doing each check will determine for sure where the fault is  ;) Jake J

    Ameter shunt w/ EMS D10

Murray Yes, shunt is correct. Most (likely) amp issues are due to connections whether they be poor quality terminals/crimping/security. You may have done a great job however that's where I'd be checking first :) Jake J

    NAVSRC LOST

DS Just a wild thought here ;) - maybe these guys could install one of those 'filter' type dsub connectors onto the AP74 or use shielded wire (grounded at both ends) as maybethe issue could be EMI ?? worth a try ? Jake J

Al It REALLY is important to get tit within 1 degree with the units - the SV units mount differently. Jake J

    Door Contact Switches

Paul do as Dynon says  ;) - it's not about 'power' , just logic. It will work as they say however you're probably confused about the Vans instrucions which are about having leds and warning buzzer requiring power. The magnet operated 'switches' give them the ground to complete the circuit. Jake J

    EMS D120 EGT

Dave, you really need to do a search first re this topic - it''s been done to death :D FYI - those symptoms are usually the result of a bad connection. Also make sure the pin is fully home in the dsub connector & thoroughly check both male and female connections where the probe joins onto the...

    CHT go up when transmitting

Harvey You're on the mark here. The issue is RF and that's why I use RG400 coax to help mitigate the effects of it, also having the transmitter close to the Dynon doesn't help either. I have a situation with a D100 on top of a 430W (LHS panel) & D180 next to a Microair Com (RHS panel)...

FT60 Transducers, Flow and Return settings

Another obvious question Trev :D - did you swap the 'cubes' to confirm that they are both serviceable ? Jake J ;)

FT60 Transducers, Flow and Return settings

Sorry Trev, should have been more specific - just thought you may not have orientated the 'cube' correctly ie arrow on it facing the direction of return flow to tank. ;) Jake J
