I wasn't sure of the mounting method (thought it was flush) however I spoke with Tony today and he is moving the unit sideways, to give better placement, and will re align it. Jake J

If you have the space you could fabricate an aluminium 'faceplate', paint it the panel colour and refit the 10A level and then screw through the 'faceplate' into the panel. HTH Jake J

I contacted Peter today - his GX install manual (very early version) doesn't show ALL the extended data info however it'll be there when he connects the serial alt in from the SV. Jake J

Wayne The best all round solutuion,IMO, is to install the backup battery, that wayyou have the clock keeping time and a 'failsafe' situation - Dynon says DO NOT use the keep alive wire. Jake J :)

I'd suggest a lot of us, myself included, are using the 'Apollo' units ie GX 50,55,60,65 series. Jake J

I'd turn off the audio out first, to confirm that is the source of the 'noise' and if it is then check your alarm settings etc. Jake J

I'd be checking the 'B' lead from the alternator to through the shunt. Jake J

Either way it's intermittent - I haven't seen the 330 units yet however the 327 looks very similar (rack wise) and they don't have a 'connector' issue. Maybe it just wasn't seated home properly in the first place ? ;) The only other unit that does have this rack issue is the Garmin 480. Jake J
