If your pitot static system has no errors (not likely errors are 0) then, IAS=CAS. In a typical static system there will be < 3 kts error between the two, which in the scope of the wind calculations is small enough to be ignored. No EFIS that I am aware of allows the entry of CAS to correct IAS.

I would suggest you download and review the Skyview users manual from the Dynon site. It contains thorough information. Short answer is, if you are using the Skyview GPS, then select it as the HSI source, under the PDF/ HSI source. The source indication next to the HSI should say Skyview GPS...

The symptoms you are observing are typical of an alternator or regulator failure.

if You are talking about the CDI bearing, it won’t stay unless you have the HSI selected to a Nav source, not GPS. so you can’t set the bearing in advance of selecting Nav for the HSI. This would be typical since there is no bearing selection for GPS.

For practice, (not legal IFR) I build the flight plan in foreflight, where you can add the approach to the flight plan and upload it. I practice this in the event I would get caught in weather accidentally. It is a great tool.

When Skyview powers Up, it will be at the base menu with PFD displayed on the leftmost key. The leftmost key (#1)should read PFD. Select that, then there should be a key that is “HSI source”. See Pilot users guide page 4-14 and 4-30 for the selections and what they do.

You can only navigate to the current flight plan, which you uploaded to Skyview so you have to have Skyview selected for the HSI. If you choose the 796 (gps1) then you follow the flight plan in the 796. You can only navigate to 1 Of them.

While not familiar with this implementation for Skyview, but noticed that Vfe and Vne changed between the OP images. What’s up with that? Were they taken at different altitudes?
