Do I just need an OAT probe?

Yes, you'll need the OAT for winds and TAS.

Thanks. I thought expert mode was only available with the button panel.

Auto Pilot - Simplified or Advanced?

There are a couple very good reason to keep the button panel. 1. Auto trim 2. Level button (though this can be any momentary button) I like being able to set an altitude and only having the AP go there when I tell it to do so.

    Squeal when push to talk

Try turning things off one at a time to see if it is associated with something else in the plane. These problems are almost always due to poor grounding or a ground loop.

    Flight planning

I don't think it is yet in the documentation but the latest release notes (15.3.4) have the following: Fixed/Changed: HSI FPL SYNC now appropriately considers serial aviation devices. TIE FLIGHT PLAN SRC TO HSI NAV SRC moved from ARINC to MAP SETUP.

I believe this is now an option to auto switch with the latest version (sometime last year) but must be enabled.

Keep in mind that you lose both a navigator and your XPNDR if it needs to go in for service.

    USB Drives, Databases, and subscriptions

I'm not using IFR charts yet but will try to answer. -Why did I need two of these flash drives? A: Each screen needs a drive to display the maps stored on the drive. Also for redundancy should one screen fail. -Do they need to be plugged in at all times? A: Yes, when you want IFR...

    XPDR from -262 to -261 where do i download SW02 ?

Yes, the XPNDR software is built into the Skyview updates but you have to specifically tell the system to update the XPNDR. Same for the ADSB-472, if you have one that needs to be updated. Don't forget to set your GPS to the 2020 type from 250.

Not sure either but these new boxes use VCALC, not VNAV.

Support for Garmin GPS 175 and GNX 375

They are supported just like the 430(W), 530W, 625, 635, 650, etc. You'll need the Dynon ARINC-429 to interface for AP functionality.

    Tach RPM - stopped working

Start by looking at the EMS wire mapping in the EFIS. That will tell you which pins the tach is tied to and you can then ring out the wires.

    Adding a Second Display

The info I referenced, Aircraft Information, starts on the bottom of 4-39 and mentions multiple screens. There is information on how to wire each the same, as well.

    Adding a Second Display

Richard, See page 4-40 of the install manual (rev AD). If you set the tail number of the new screen to DYNON, it will pick up the settings from your first screen. Be sure to install a network cable between them so map updates sync across both.

Be sure not to hit your PTT button (transmit) with no antenna. Most radios cannot handle this.

    AP-74 and runaway trim?

The AP Button panel includes runaway trim control (kills output if engaged for > 3 seconds). From what I've read, the problem is usually within the servo, though.
