Where is the red cube installed? Ideally, it should be as far away from the fuel pump as possible to avoid pulses that will cause issues like this. Mine, for example, is installed just prior to the flow divider on top of the engine.

If the new screen will come with the latest rev, I would update your current screen prior to connecting the repaired one.

The system will detect the software mismatch, which will cause some things to not work until you have them both at the same revision.

My response won't be much help but I feed music into the front intercom jack from my iPhone, which also charges from a Steinair USB charge port. No issues with noise. Sounds like your issue is related to the wiring into the back of the intercom. Are you using shielded wire?

I have about 5 hours on the new release and have not seen this issue.

I saw something similar on a Cessna that turned out to be a very loose connection to the battery that was hidden by shrink wrap covering the wire into the ring terminal. The regulator detected low amps in the battery, telling the alternator to provide more but it wasn't getting to the battery...

Consider not installing the servo stop if your aileron airframe stops keep the lever from going over center. I don't have the stop installed on either servo on my RV-7A for this reason.

I noticed an ad from another vendor while reading the Home Built magazine that allows IFR coupled approaches in their system without an IFR navigator. It is meant for doing practice IFR approaches in VFR conditions. Is this type of functionality available with our Dynon hardware? It would help...

Adding to Garrett's response, the WAAS GPS source is a very small part of an approved IFR navigator. Every line of software code and the database structure must meet FAA, very demanding, requirements.

I would suggest trying a different USB drive, in that case, Randy.

There are 3 USB drives per screen. One is a dongle that is often fed to the panel or made available under the panel for easy access. The other 2 ports are on the back of each screen. One of these is often used for the WiFi adapter.

Are you using the wired USB port or directly to a port on the screen? If the former, try the latter.
