    Skyview SE- fuel senders

A: I didn't build my tanks and don't plan to run anything but 100LL :) Float senders work great, depending on the application. In an RV with dihedral wings, the float senders will read full until down to about 15 gallons (from 21 in my plane). The capacitive type read quite accurately from...

    Skyview SE- fuel senders

Capacitive plates with Dynon sending units. Some have used another vendors sending units that apparently show more difference between pours. I think mine will be fine once I recalibrate.

    Skyview SE- fuel senders

Also, as Airguy knows, if you want to use different fuels (100LL and MOGAS), you need the float/resistive type. The capacitive type have to be re-calibrated for different fuels. I have capacitive and still working to get the calibration right, which is partly my fault. The calibration process...

    RV12 SLSA Skyview Update issue

I would expect the Vans release to over-write some things but can't say for sure. You likely can now only use the Vans specific config files since the software has already been updated.

    RV12 SLSA Skyview Update issue

The 15.3.4 release is now available on Vans website, along with a new document on the updates. https://www.vansaircraft.com/public/downloads.htm

    Documentation

the last release was likely delayed due to all the STC work they were doing. With so few changes 15.3.4, I would not expect another doc update until the next software release, which was said to be expected by end of 2018. I really like the smaller widgets now available!

SV-Intercom-2S to Dual Icom radio wiring

You are on the right track. Figure 184 on page 16-11 of the install manual (rev AD) should get you there. You'll need the SV-INTERCOM-2S and ICOM radio manuals as well.

    Boot error

Try removing any USB drives and booting again. If none are installed, follow the above recommendation.

    Map and FPL Simul Display

Yes, it does hide a lot of the screen when viewing INFO, which I use often. Not much you can do about that, IMO. Having dual screens makes it a non-problem for me.

SV-Intercom-2S to Dual Icom radio wiring

You'll need a switch like the one linked below. The PTT and MIC wires will be switched to COM 1 or COM 2. You'll use each radio's volume control for the rest. https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/elpages/minitoggle.php?clickkey=66176 ULTRA-MINI TOGGLE SWITCH MTA-306D Part #: 11-04237

    Rv12 regular buzzing

You can disable the audible alarm until your fuel sensors are calibrated. I did the same with my CHT warning due to occasional issues with one sensor that I plan to fix with different connectors.

    Map and FPL Simul Display

I don't use the FLP screen much so I hadn't noticed the behavior. Most of my FPL updates are done on my phone in FF and transferred to the SV over wifi. An email to Dynon support might be helpful to see if this is expected behavior.

    Map and FPL Simul Display

Now I understand. It was not at all clear what you were trying to do from your first post.

    Map and FPL Simul Display

I suspect you are pushing the wrong buttons. I fly with 40/20/40 on my SV1000T, which is PFD/EMS/MAP. This is set using the Screen and Layout options/buttons. FPL is related to Fight Planning.

    simulator

Tim, There is no simulator for the Dynon system but there are some online videos available on its use.

    Data Log Scanner

I'll give it a try when I get a chance to pull logs. Thanks!

    Serial Port Encoder

Luis, That would be a question for the MFG of your transponder. Below is a link to their installation manual. There is mention of connecting to a Dynon D10A. You will need to give them a call, if that information does not work for you...

    Serial Port Encoder

Luis, See page 11-16 (rev AD) of the installation manual. The settings are for the Trig transponder but may work with yours as well.

    Dynon ADS-B/Transponder Traffic alert error

Make sure your SV has the correct tail number and HEX code for your aircraft. You can also get a performance report from the FAA on your ADS-B OUT functionality. https://adsbperformance.faa.gov/PAPRRequest.aspx

    older software

I suggest you contact Vans for the correct download. Using the Dynon update may wipe out some of your configuration.
