    ADS-B NO RADAR ?

    Can anyone tell me what the message “ADS-B NO RADAR means? I am seeing this on a Dynon Skyview HDX, in the lower right hand corner of the map. FWIW this was asked on another forum but I thought this forum was more appropriate.

    Resistor with warning LED?

    Or use some opaque tape to cover it. Either way will work. If you use a resistor, use a variable resistor to figure out the actual resistance you need. Then replace the variable resistor with a fixed one of the correct value. Easier than trial and error.

    Or how about let the SkyView system receive the ADS-B data from a STRATUX receiver via the WIFI module. The data is already compatible since FltPlanGo can display the SyView ADS-B data via the WIFI module using the <Custom Unit - Port 4000> selection. 🤔

    FWIW: I have ADS-B traffic/WX on the DYNON display. But since I have the DYNON WIFI module I also display ADS-B traffic/WX on my SAMSUNG tablet running FltPlanGo at the same time. It works great.

    To me it boils down to the display size. Trying to see traffic/weather on the "tiny" GTN650 screen instead of the significantly larger Dynon display is not the best use of your equipment capabilities. YMMV

    I flew yesterday and again got the "Database No Longer Current" warning one day early. I have two 7" Skyview Classic displays both running software Version 15.4.7 and don't have or use Seattle Avionics Databases. 🤔

    This has been asked and answered dozens, if not hundreds, of times on this and other forums. Basically, what does YOUR Operating limitations say? And if you can find equipment that isn't TSO's but you can prove to the FAA it performs to the TSO standard, then go for it.

    Has Dynon considered offering the AutoPilot and Knob Control panels so they fit in a standard 3 1/4" round hole? Maybe even offer the Com radio control head so it can fit in the 6.25" standard avionics rack. 🤔
