Denis Does disconnecting the pitot line at ADAHRS make any difference to indicated airspeed in hangar ? Jake J

Harry A simple check - disconnect the static line at the ADAHRS, that may show up any blockage/water in line. Other than that DS may want to chime in. ;) Jake J

Russ Ground the shields at both ends for serial/data lines - all manufacturers of Tso'd units do that with their equipment too. Jake J

Trev Most units, if not all, with Jepps database have this warning - maybe it's a way of saying 'this is out of date- wouldn't you like to spend more money with Jepps and update ?" ;D I don't blame them for encouraging you to update but for visual flying why would you want to, airports etc...

You're correct Splitty  ;D The 'rest of the world' doesn't have the deluxe items eg XM, Nexrad, ADSB, free Navdata & real depiction of obstacles etc, etc, those are only available in the USA.  For some they are essentials but others are content with basic features. IMO, what most people want...

Denis As DS says....... but make sure it is a NO (normally open) switch not an NC type which can give similar symptoms. If you have the resistor fitted check the wiring of that too. ;) Jake J

It's only 3 wires from SL30 to SV ie TX,RX & signal ground - get that & setup right it WILL work. ;) Don't forget to set the 'Resolver' to none in the SL30. Jake J

John As a generalisation I suggest playing around with the unit, but always read screen messages/info, is what I encourage others to do as you will learn and associate more than by reading manuals. :) Jake J
