Maybe you had something ferrous/metallic in your pockets ? or cell phone ? I've never had an 'issue' with existing correct compass cal after upgrading to vers 3.0. Have done 5 so far.

As I nderstand it , the low pressure types (eg Carby) have 2 tabs and anyone is ok for ground, other tab to dynon. ;) Jake J

DS A customer had this exact same situation ie the CDI @ 360 (no HS34) - I did get the OBS to work on the ground without a valid Lo/ILS signal, not sure how but I think I pressed the OBS button on the SL30, or something like that, as well.  He has 5.4 too. Harkfly - the answer is there...

Well put Mel. With this equipment there is NO difference in the methodology re installations ,software upgrades or testing. We know that some would rather ask a question on a forum than Read The Manual first. ::) Jake J

Casi I'd be checking your power (& regulator ground) wires, ie how well they are crimped & security of the wires on amp shunt etc - these 'fluctuations' are usually caused by inadequately secured connections.  No offence meant.   :) FWIW - while I'm on the subject of electrical connections re...

Re: Jeppesen data fo Australia Jamie In the past, & probably the same now, there was no requirement to notify anyone re obstacles built under 300' approx (I think) so purchasing an obstacle database for here in OZ is probably a waste of money - maybe you have found out more about this ? :)...

Re: Airport Identifier Font Size on Map - 7" Displ Dave This has been answered in the past however it's not likely to happen IMO - the 7" screen is just too small to handle all the info etc, etc. Personally I'd use that screen only for EMS but that's not what you want to hear if real estate...

Sorry to ask the obvious - did you connect the green tubing to the forward aluminum tube on the AOA Pitot head ? Did you blow air through the sam Pitot head tube to confirm air was coming out at the forward end of same ? Jake J

Jason That doesn't appear as an issue on the aircraft I've wired, I use 18awg shielded wire and use the shield as the 'ground' return - ie shield onto the mag ground screw and ground screw on ACS switch or other side of toggle switch if that was used instead. Jake J ;)
