Dico Basically yes, but depending on what country you're, in as there can be some 'issues'. IMO 2 x Skyviews would be a minimum or steam gauges as backups, some like a combination of both. Jake J :)

Rob I don't think you need do anything different from adding a resistor to the P lead (I do this at the switch end) as per the Dynon manual.  I've connected Dynons to many IO-540's without an issue so my guess is there is something else in the mix here.  Do you have the shielded wires going...

That would be a good move Dynon especially as, I believe, the Vision Microsystems (VMS) are NOT BEING SUPPORTED anymore. Jake J works on Defiants & Aircam ;)

FWIW - I always use the dsub 9way connectors for any 'important to flight' connections, don't forget to use one pin/socket as well for the shield wire. ;) Jake J

Maybe you had something ferrous/metallic in your pockets ? or cell phone ? I've never had an 'issue' with existing correct compass cal after upgrading to vers 3.0. Have done 5 so far.

As I nderstand it , the low pressure types (eg Carby) have 2 tabs and anyone is ok for ground, other tab to dynon. ;) Jake J

DS A customer had this exact same situation ie the CDI @ 360 (no HS34) - I did get the OBS to work on the ground without a valid Lo/ILS signal, not sure how but I think I pressed the OBS button on the SL30, or something like that, as well.  He has 5.4 too. Harkfly - the answer is there...
