Harkfly Operators manual rev J page 6-5 last sentence in 2nd last para refers There is a 'soft' key (2nd from right, I think) for this when on HSI page - you'll find it  ;) Jake J :)

mmarien, that's ironic, i've got 80 hrs in a 'moth' (DH82A), and know exactly what you mean - now have 1740 hrs on our Glasair IIS -FT 320. Jake J :D

I don't believe the RV needs any real amount of input in a turn however maybe it's happening 'automatically, without thinking' when I fly ;) Jake J

    Ammeter fluctuation at high RPM

Casi I'd be checking your power (& regulator ground) wires, ie how well they are crimped & security of the wires on amp shunt etc - these 'fluctuations' are usually caused by inadequately secured connections.  No offence meant.   :) FWIW - while I'm on the subject of electrical connections re...

Makes me wonder how many planes really NEED a yaw damper, not to mention the cost & hassles of installation. Jake J :)

    Jeppesen data for Australia

Re: Jeppesen data fo Australia Jamie In the past, & probably the same now, there was no requirement to notify anyone re obstacles built under 300' approx (I think) so purchasing an obstacle database for here in OZ is probably a waste of money - maybe you have found out more about this ? :)...

Skyview 3 and Jeppeson - which Avidyne or Garmin?

Re: Skyview 3 and Jeppeson - which Avidyne or Garm Dave I hope I can help here  ;) Everyone needs to spend the $500 for the software to be able to use the mapping feature. Then you decide which database you need - in your case you will have to get this subscription from Jeppesen in addition...

Airport Identifier Font Size on Map - 7" Display

Re: Airport Identifier Font Size on Map - 7" Displ Dave This has been answered in the past however it's not likely to happen IMO - the 7" screen is just too small to handle all the info etc, etc. Personally I'd use that screen only for EMS but that's not what you want to hear if real estate...

    Speed doesn't come alive

Sorry to ask the obvious - did you connect the green tubing to the forward aluminum tube on the AOA Pitot head ? Did you blow air through the sam Pitot head tube to confirm air was coming out at the forward end of same ? Jake J

    EGT/CHT Wire Routing

Jason That doesn't appear as an issue on the aircraft I've wired, I use 18awg shielded wire and use the shield as the 'ground' return - ie shield onto the mag ground screw and ground screw on ACS switch or other side of toggle switch if that was used instead. Jake J ;)

None of the sensors need to be connected however I'd temporarily connect the EDC otherwise you'll have to redo the update later. Jake J

I can see that if the line could hold fluid in a low spot it could cause fluctuations. - or damage to the sensor if the fluid gets into it :'( Jake J

    Colormap IIIC Nmea sentences

We have a Bendix/King Colormap IIIC giving Nmea Gps input to a D100 but the course line/arrow is not showing on the HSI - all other Gps inputs are displayed in magenta color. Does anyone have the D100/Colormap combo ? If so, does the course line show on HSI ? Does the Bendix/King Nmea...

    Vertical Power Integration?

I'm installing 2 x 10" SV's in an RV10 WITH the MGL Extreme due to Dynon not being ready to interface with the VPX.   However all is not lost as I'll make sure the wiring will be done to allow a simple connection to the SV later, then the Extreme will become a 'backup' EFIS (it has a 3 1/8"...

    Manifold Pressure Sensor Location

I usually mount them on engine side of firewall - these were made for the auto industry & meant to be mounted there, don't forget to mount it higher than the cylinder you're using for map sensing. Jake J ;)
