Kavlico pressure senders off scale high

They do not require calibration. Check to make sure you have picked the correct sensor (which includes working range) in the sensor mapping setup. This is likely where you have an error.

    Couple more Ver 11 items

I am also getting EMS alarms (oil and fuel pressure) on boot where I did not before on three Skyview systems. This happened with the move to Ver 11. All are set to inhibit engine alerts at boot.

Dynon set me a blank Skyview 1000 replacement.

Have you tried to import the settings you had from your screen before you sent it back? Dynon likely would have had you export your settings to the USB thumb drive if you were able to do so.

    Zero pressure airspeed calibration.

You should not need to do this unless you have a problem. The unit comes calibrated from the factory. The Zero Airspeed Calibration procedure you reference is used to solve a problem. If your system operates correctly, you will likely never have to do this. Of the 6 systems I have helped...

    Metered Orifice

Even if Dynon can damp the pressure pulses you should consider using the very small opening. The line only needs to access pressure, there is no flow in the line. As such, the orifice can be very small. The primary benefit of this is that if the line were to fail, oil would be pumped out of the...

    What is that Pink line?

Can the target altitude and/or distance be changed? Will we be able to assign this for enroute waypoints to assist with vertical navigation on IFR flights? I was really glad to see this addition. Just wondering about enhanced usability.

    External GPS Required??

The SV-GPS-250 module is all the navigation source you need for position and navigation in VFR flight. The map will work the same regardless the GPS source. You cannot legally use the SV-GPS-250 module for primary navigation in IFR flight. That requires a certified GPS receiver.

vision micro fuel probe to work in skywiew

I can do that Jake. I just called Todd at Princeton Electronics (although email contact is easier) and ordered them. Contact info for them is: 616-243-8800 todd@princeton-electronics.com The converter you want for the Vision Microsystems probe is the CP-10A. The key is to make sure it is set to...

vision micro fuel probe to work in skywiew

I have a Glasair Super 2 with the same probe and also the Princeton converters which work fine. I can be of help. One of the bigger things is the converter has to be calibrated before the Dynon is. Use the single set point method. Then calibrate the Dynon normally. Let me know if you need more...

Time requied for display of contact sensor

If adding the filter is in the installation manual I will look for it and edit the file. If I need instructions on how to edit the sensor file, point me in the right direction. I assume I can set a filter for that sensor alone without affecting other sensors. True?

Time requied for display of contact sensor

I was thinking about tying one of the contact sensors to the pulse feature of my landing light so that I could tell it was on since the switch is a Push On/ Push Off toggle on the stick. The contact could sense voltage essentially above zero but since the light would be pulsing, would the sensor...

    Electro-optical level sensors on a SV-EMS-221

The EMS supplies both 12v (pin 15 Red) and 5v (pin 18 White/Red). The 12v is mostly used for the fuel flow while the 5v line is designed to be split and attach to most other sensors. Check the pin out listing for the EMS on page 7-6 of the current Installation Manual. I have just such a sensor...

High indicated fuel pressure - UPDATED

Go into the sensor definitions page and make sure the fuel pressure sender indicated is the one you actually have installed. I had the same thing happen. The page showed the 0-80 PSI sensor listed instead of the lower pressure carb one. That gave the incorrect reading. I had verified the correct...

    True airspeed color ranges

Actually Chris, Vne is only in True Airspeed. You are correct about the stall being accurate with indicated but you will find Vne is defined differently and for good reason. Generally, it has to do with the velocity of the air vice density and the propogation of non damping ocillations in the...

    True airspeed color ranges

I am flight testing an RV4 just completed. I have put all of the appropriate V speeds into the Skyview and the airspeed tapes accurately reflect the analog Vans airspeed indicator mounted as a backup. Cruising at 7500 feet and indicating 154 knots, the Skyview airspeed tape just turned yellow as...

    More colors?

Has any thought been given to adding more colors to the EMS palette? Specifically, I would like to see the addition of blue which I will use to denote cold temperature. This would be of value at the extreme low end of CHT, Oil temp, but also a condition for Carb temp etc. My thought is the...

    Display user determined Vref?

I have noticed that I can only set the IAS bug to a certain level that is about 1.6 Vs which is probably because the auto pilot will fly this speed and needs a little margin. That is fine and I really like the IAS hold feature for climb and descent. The airplane will climb right on Vy all the...

    Fuel level capacitance converter

I am using them on my system. You will need a converter from Princeton Electronics. I can give you contact info and some advice on install/calibration if you need Jake.

    HITS

Please tell the development team to ensure it is selectable. Do not tie it to any other features. I do not want HITS and do not want to lose access to any other existing features.

    Restore process

Just another example of the great customer service at Dynon. I am really impressed you do the full backup and restore for units requiring repair. In that case, I hope it is helping your folks to do an export of settings whenever I make any changes to the system. I am assuming this to be the case...
