Skyview processing of abnormal ADS-B input

I would suggest also reporting this to the appropriate FAA and/or Carroll County authority so they can check their system.

    HDX Install question

Hopefully someone from Dynon will chime in but I suspect you will need 2 ARINC boxes to achieve what you want. If you had the Dynon AP, you would only need one since it would get its feed from the Dynon network versus the TT that needs the ARINC feed. There might be a way to split the ARINC out...

    Monitoring Engine Compartment Temperature

I've considered using a spare carb heat sensor for the same purpose but only planned on one. If you have sufficient inputs for them, it should work fine.

    Software Upgrade - Radio Failure

Mine did the same a while back. I did a forced network update and the radio came back but I do not recall seeing any error; just the No SV on the radio screen.

    HDX Install question

The head scratching is due to the Dynon limit of 5 serial ports. If you wish to control the TT AP via the HDX, it requires serial I/O to do so. In my setup, with no 430W, I have the following, which precludes me of connecting any other serial device unless I decide to drop one of the current...

New Dual Band ADS-B for SkyView / AF-5000 Systems

Some other ADS-B in systems optionally use a top and bottom mounted antenna. Is this possible with the 472 to improve reception of aircraft above?

    Garmin 296 output to FlightDek180

Can't say for sure but I believe most Garmin GPS outputs are 9600 baud. If you can find documentation on a later model (eg 496), I'd expect it to be the same.

Feedback and crackling in intercom on power up

This is likely your problem. Shielding in this area requires grounding at one end (but not both). The ground allows noise to be dissipated. You should see the shield grounding in the SV installation manual.

    Output logic from SV Classic?

I too was going to suggest either an airspeed switch or tying into your flap position sensor to handle the logic. Maybe even fuel pump, if turned on for landing...

New Dual Band ADS-B for SkyView / AF-5000 Systems

The website says it will be a limited time option. Can you provide the time frame for trade-ins? I'm in no hurry to upgrade since I live and fly in an area that is well covered by ground stations but having the new capability would likely be useful someday.

    Trim Switch Source

Jake, The Ray Allen site says they are required but I believe the OP will be installing the Dynon AP panel, so they won't. http://www.rayallencompany.com/products/accessories.html

    Trim Switch Source

I too installed the Infinity stick grips and love the military look. Don't forget that you'll need trim relays unless you will be wiring through the Dynon AP panel, which handles the relay work for you, along with many other features.

    D2 + Foreflight

Maybe I misunderstood the Dynon response but I think you have it backward (or I misunderstand your response) :) The D2 supports output via wifi but FF does not support the D2. This would be a possible reason to be irritated at FF but not at Dynon.

SV1000T - stayed on when batt master off

I wonder if it still detected oil pressure and thought the motor was running, in which case it should remain on and let you know that primary power was lost (master switch off).

    WiFi connect

The password for connecting to the Dynon wifi dongle is set on the Skyview. Change it and set it again on the iPad.

    First Do No Harm

The AOA is there but shows not yet calibrated. Once you do that (one or more stalls), it will show up.

    First Do No Harm

Don, The HOBBS and Tach are under INFO items when adding widgets. Took me a few to figure this out too as I wanted them on the 20% screen as well as the others.

    SV-ADAHRS-20 Installation Near Transponder Antenna

Mounting in the wing is also permissible and likely a better location based on your limitations.

    Performance Snapshot

I remembered the screen-shot capability after posting and I almost always keep a thumb drive attached to my left screen. It would work for my needs when retrieving data to tune injectors. Just need to put a sticky on my panel so I remember the buttons to push.  :)

Mark, I like this idea too. It would help when sending logs off to AFP to get the right injector restrictors to aid in LOP operations.
