    GPS not found

If it happens a lot, then you might have something nearby that is interfering with GPS signals from the satellites. I have the same issue alongside the area of our airport where Northrup/Grumman has a huge radar test facility. THAT is the only area I have problems with while taxiing by it, but...

    NO ADS-B OUT

Probably a configuration problem. In what format and what speed is the Avidyne IFD-540 sending data to the SV-XPNDR-261?

    Airspeed vs Groundspeed

This situation happens more times than you think and it gives the exact same indications as my static port installation error. If you have an "Alternate Static Source", activate it while in cruise flight. Your IAS and Altitude should change. If they do not, then you have an open static line...

    Airspeed vs Groundspeed

Check your static port installation. I had the same issue. You can go to my web page (www.puertoricoflyer.com) and in the MAINTENANCE section you can read how I corrected the problem.

    ADS-B Ghost Ship Still

Need a lot more information that what you provided. It sounds like you have a configuration problem so it is probably best is to call the DYNON help desk and have them walk you through it.

    Dynon NAV/COMM???

As stated "there has never been a requirement for a NavCom or its display to have TSO certification, unless the aircraft was flown Part 135 or similar for hire." Just look at the 60's and 70's Cessnas, Pipers and other certificated airplanes with original avionics. None are TSO'd.

Backup Battery, not for Skyview, for EMS, Transponder, IFR, etc...

Do you really want to press on in actual IMC with an electric failure or just land at the nearest airport and fix the problem? YMMV

    New Feature Suggestion...PLEASE

The Dynon glide ring is based on one glidespeed entered during the initial setup. Best glidespeed changes with weight and you have no immediate way to change that speed without entering the setup menu, even if you happened to know what that speed was. Glide ratio will show you which airspeed is...

    New Feature Suggestion...PLEASE

An how about displaying Glide Ratio (GS/VS) number in addition to the glide range ring. That was you can set an accurate glide speed based on your your current weight not max gross weight.

    Dynon NAV/COMM???

A Dynon NAV/COMM actually makes a lot of sense, especially if it can interface to the SkyView display via the Dynon network connection. Having the ability to do VOR/ILS/LOC approaches within a Comm radio is something even some handheld radios can do.

    Classic Skyview- can I add?

You can add a "new to you" classic display and move the "old" classic display to the other side. As noted you can't mix unit types, like a classic display and an HDX display.

Painters tape or a "sticky note". ;)

GRT CS-01 Installation (Number of Loops?)

One last thing is to make sure you select the correct file (CS01 / CS02) when you configure your system. Depending on your installation, you may have to calibrate the configuration with an offset to have an accurate amps display.

GRT CS-01 Installation (Number of Loops?)

You are correct in that the CS-01 gets connected to the EMS D37 pin 18 (+5V). I just don't remember the wire colors. FWIW, I use the CS-02 to monitor the load since it handles up to 50A and my airplane consumes much less than that. YMMV

GPS 250 vs 2020 if IFR GPS installed

FWIW my SkyView panel has the G430W as the IFR navigator so I kept my GPS-250. It is more sensitive than the GPS-2020 and it is used as an emergency backup so to me being more sensitive is nice. But honestly, it all depends on your level of risk management.

    SV-GPS-2020 mounting under the cowling?

IMHO, do things the way the manufacturer confirms it is correct and you greatly reduce the possibility of failure. Now if you want to experiment and are willing to take the risk, then do whatever you want. Personally I fly with my family in actual IMC conditions and am not willing to take the...

    Sky view WiFi

I display ADS-B traffic and weather from the SkyView WIFI on my SAMSUNG S4 tablet running FltPlanGo so it can be done. I imagine that depending on the app, you can also do it on an iPad.

Early Days / Skyview WiFi Principles

You are correct the WIFI adaptor is not required. FWIW I use it mainly so my tablet, running FltPlanGo, has a real good GPS position and can display traffic from the SkyView system in addition to my MAP page. This especially insures the georeferenced approach plates have a good GPS lock.

Early Days / Skyview WiFi Principles

WIFI does not mean INTERNET access. IOW; the SkyView WIFI does NOT connected to the INTERNET. It provides a wireless connection between whatever devices are logged in to its WIFI. Think of it as the wireless router in your home for your computers, tablets and printers, but you didn't pay for...

    Avidyne IFD440 ADS-B in

I use the SkyView WIFI dongle and my tablet to do the same thing. With the FltPlanGo app I connect via the EXTERNAL > CUSTOM UNIT > PORT 4000 and it works just fine.
